G.L Stockham & Son has been the general contractor for Clinton Engines since the Company moved to Maquoketa in 1950. Stockham is unique from two perspectives - it has been a family business through FOUR generations, an historic fact in itself, and of the four generation THREE have served the Clinton Engines Company. Stockham, aside from its reputation as being the best, was a natural for this job because it is part of the Clinton Engines history. We needed skilled and clever men who could overcome a host of challenges. Stockham had them. Good thing, too. There was at least 1 miracle per day, often more, over the project period.
