Problem. For some years water had been leaking into the bottom floor of the building. A lot of time was spent tracking down the cause and then G.L. Stockham came in to correct the problem.
L.The building was trenched, pipe laid in a rock bed, protective sheeting installed, and a sump pit built. Terry Putnam is working on it.
L.“The Roz” uses a chemical sealant to seal the wall protection sheet. This sealing system was installed on the South wall and about half of the East wall.
R.Ground backfilled after the drain system is installed and the ground re-contoured to keep water away from the building.
L. The pit is anchored to the wall and sealed. A sump bucket is in the ground at the bottom. The pipe is connected to the sunken sump bucket.
LWork has been done on the South embankment to ease the slope and the maintenance of it. The City assisted with some extra dirt they could not store. This improvement also stabilized the top of the embankment on which there is a street right-of-way that needs solid ground if it is to be safely built.
